Noungeology (plural geologies)
Derived termsFrom Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Geology is the science and study of the physical matter and energy that constitute the Earth. The field of geology encompasses the study of the composition, structure, properties, and history of the planet's physical material, the processes by which it is formed, moved, and changed, the history of life on Earth, and human interactions with the Earth. The field is a major academic discipline, and is commercially important for mineral and hydrocarbon extraction, as well as for predicting and understanding earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It is also an important foundation for many other science and engineering disciplines, including evolutionary biology, paleoclimatology and geotechnical engineering. The word geology was first used by Jean-André Deluc in 1778 and introduced as a fixed term by Horace-Bénédict de Saussure in 1779. The word is derived from the Greek γῆ, gê, meaning "earth" and λόγος, logos, meaning "speech". From Wikipedia under the

Answered by 22 - Tue Feb 26 12:10:01 2008 What can I draw for physical science, physics, geology, and ecology?
Q. I have to draw something that has to do with each category: physical science, physics, geology, and ecology. One picture each. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.[: Your right, it didnt help that much but it did a little in giving me some ideas so thanks. Asked by susan - Sat Sep 12 14:17:54 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. It depends how artistic you are and how much time you want to spend on each picture. Geology: the side of a mountain with varying colored rocks to represent different minerals. Physical Science: a DNA strand going diagonal in the background with some atoms in the front and that classic old school picture of a guy with the lines( sorry I can't think of what its called, but I can see it in my head, not that that helps you). sorry I'm not creative, so that probably isn't much help to you Answered by ? - Sat Sep 12 14:30:16 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "geology" MEC Appoints David B.
